Final Air Clearance

When following an asbestos abatement project, it is imperative that owners know and document that the facility or work area is acceptable for entry by individuals without respiratory protection.

To do this, final clearance air testing is performed. This action shows that, upon completion of an asbestos abatement activity, the air within the work area is below the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA’s) Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). Furthermore, some institutions, such as schools, are held to a higher regulatory standard and these buildings must pass more stringent final clearance criteria.

DC Environmental Inc. has completed thousands of final clearance air testing activities on a variety of buildings in various working conditions. This information safeguards owners from adverse environmental liability.
